Chapter 8

This week I read Chapter 8, which is titled Using the Web for Teaching and Learning. One of the things this chapter discussed was about the online publications. These can be very useful for teachers to use. Most of the online publications have a search engine where you can type in what you would like to look up on the Web. There are many neat things on the Adobe Reader. Blogging is another great idea for teachers to do throughout their teaching career. It's a great way to share their ideas with other educators, as well as gain knowledge from others. As a teacher you will find sites on the web that you may find useful but aren't ready to quite use yet. A neat tool on the web is the bookmark tool. You can mark this website and save it in a list and keep it for later use. Academic Tools are great for teachers to get worksheets and activities for the children in their classroom to do. A really neat idea this chapter discusses is to have a FAQ page on your webpage as a teacher. I think that's a really great idea.
